6; Low Poly Image

Software: Adobe Photoshop CS6, Adobe Illustrator CS6
Tools: Brush Tool, Pen Tool, Eyedropper Tool

+ Firstly, open image on Photoshop.
+ Start by doing the triangle mesh using the Brush tool. Hold shift while clicking to create a straight line and connect the lines together to create a triangle. Small and detailed parts require small triangles. So be patient!
*For different parts of the portrait, use different layers to avoid confusion.
+ Once the tracing is completed, save it in .psd.

+ Next, open the .psd file on AI.
+ Lock your mesh into your artboard and by using the pen tool, trace over the triangle mesh by using a contrasting colour so your current trace could be seen. Again, this takes patience so have your favourite music playing in the background!
+ To add colours, select each triangles in turn. If you're planning on using natural colours from the original image, select the colour in the middle of each triangle to fill in.
*Use different layers for different parts of the portrait
+ Once you're done, save your hardwork!
