For the final assignment, I decided to choose album artwork out of all the selections. I chose Minzy, Dean and Lee Hi because they are my current favourite musicians.
For the first album artwork, which is Minzy, is a merge of her portrait and an image of her dancing as she's not only a singer but also a dancer. Black and white theme was chosen to deliver more emotions in the dance movement. The title 'Superstar' was chosen unintentionally as the title because unfortunately, the portrait comes from her 'Adidas Superstar' campaign. Eliminating the title would reduce the quality of the photo so it was used as an album title.
For the second image, which is Dean. Dean is an underground hip hop R&B artist that is currently a favourite right now. The sultry and mysterious image, similar to his music are kept as the concept. The quick selection tool was used to insert texture to the typeface used. The background is just a blend of many different kinds of textures that was randomly chosen from my collection.
Lastly, unlike these two posters above, Seoulite by Lee Hi has a more cheerful and childlike vibe. Pastel colours and her title track from the Seoulite album were chosen as the theme. It is a blend of the watercolour and minimal astronomy textures and also the hand reaching out to sync with the title song. A minimal sans-serif and calligraphy typeface were chosen to keep it elegant as well.
