Retouching the Imperfections

+ Start by touching up the imperfections such as blemishes, wrinkles and freckles by using the Patch Tool or Spot Healing Brush or any tools of your choice. The end result depends on your own preference.
+ Highlight the high points of the face such as the forehead, cheeks, chin, nose bridge, etc. to give dimension, by using the Dodge Tool.
+ Next is the Burn Tool. Apply on areas like the hollows of the cheekbones and jaw line to contour the face.

Applying Photoshop makeup

+ Applying fake makeup to the image can be done by using the Brush tool. Simple choose an area of your choice. For an example, the lips.
+ Pick the lip colour of your choice and make it as the foreground colour.
+ Add a new layer and simply paint the lips.
+ Change the new layer from Normal to Soft Light for it to be natural looking. Any settings is fine.
+ The corner of the lips can be touched up by using the Smudge Tool and eraser.
+Repeat the same steps on other parts of the face such as the eyebrows, eyes, eye colour, hair colour, etc.
